HEALTHY BREAKFAST: TOAST & EGGS

Eating breakfast gives your body energy and will help to stabilise your blood sugar levels throughout the day.

Make wholegrain, rye, sourdough or spelt toast

  • Top with either sardines (great for omega 3 healthy fats), 1-2 eggs, nut butter, hummus, avocado and sliced tomato, mushrooms, cottage cheese

Eggs

  • Scrambled, poached, omelette, boiled, frittata

  • Try adding peppers, spinach, kale, onion, tomato, mushrooms, watercress, chillies, peas for extra flavour and valuable nutrients.

Eggs are a great source of protein as well as iron. They also contain vitamin B6, B12 and folic acid, all important for energy production.
